Taking a look at life back in the Middle Ages

As time has passed, it is only normal for things to have changed from way back when medieval knights used to roam the land and kings would rule the country.  So, in order to really get into your Noble King Costume, it is good for you to know a thing or two about the daily life of a Noble in the middle ages.

For many nobles, religion was a big part of their life.  Prayers were made when the day began as when it ended and of course going to mass was something they did regularly.   Also, any concerns about lands or finances would be taken up with Lords or Nobles or even Kings and they would decide what to do about each situation.    There would be time for weapon practice, usually swordsmanship or fencing classes in the afternoon.  And after almost every supper, there would be some form of entertainment- be it music, juggling, jesters, and whatnot.

Now that you have a brief background, time to go for the look.  You will surely look like a true ruler with this Medieval Knight Costume.  Start off with a royal blue velvet tunic.  This long sleeved top showcases the emblem of a crowned lion right in the very middle of it all.  To show just how tough any king should be, the sleeves are made of faux chainmail.  The brown leather looking gauntlets go perfectly over them.  These are lined in gold and have a few studs at the top.  Pretty much the same goes for the boot covers, minus the studs, that is.  Then tie the whole look together with the matching brown belt featuring a gold buckle in the very center.

But to complete the whole royal look glide across the floor with the ruby red velvet cape lines in white faux fur.  It sweeps across your neck and is held together with a brass cross pin.  And finally, to top it all off, a king wouldn’t be king without his crown.  So put on the intricately designed brass headpiece embellished with red and blue jewels featuring a cross in the very middle of it all.
