Literally, a musketeer is a soldier armed with a musket- a heavy and large caliber that is loaded through the muzzle.  This is a shoulder gun that infantry usually carries.

All for one and one for all.  The most famous musketeers are actually the fictional characters from a novel written by Alexandre Dumas.   Set in the 17h century, this is about the three musketeers, Athos, Porthos, and Aramis and their new friend, soon to be the fourth, D’Artagnan.  These four are most dashing and debonair as they get, not to mention charming.  Their swift moves and good heart make millions of ladies fall head over heels in love.

Because the novel was so popular, it was only natural that it was turned into a block buster hit.

Musketeer Costume

Take on the role of one of the three charismatic Musketeers with this medieval knight costume, or even play the role as the fourth, or the fifth rather, member of the famous trio.  You will look simply dashing in this dark blue tunic with arm drapes.  A white symbol of the cross with fine details around it is placed in the middle which compliments the white lining of the tunic.

After putting the tunic over a pair of whit pants and a white long sleeved shirt, you can make the look complete with the dark leather looking gauntlets and the matching Boot Spats.  But of course, the piece de resistance is the signature white feathered hat.  With that on your head, you will be saying “all for one and one for all” in no time.
